The title is too broad (or the material too narrow), July 11, 2008

This review is from: Ipod Your Honda Civic: wired Ipod Honda installation guide with pics for 1998-2005 Honda and Acura stereos (Digital)

I expected this document to be a guide for installing an iPod into, as the title indicates, any Honda Civic from 1998-2005. Also, I imagined that the author would be an expert or at least experienced at installing iPods into automobiles. I was mistaken.

This guide was written by a guy who was able to install an iPod in his 2005 Honda Civic. One guy, one car, and his first and last attempt at installing an iPod.

This photographs included only show his 2005 Civic, and the text offers no “insider” information or tips on installation in other model years. The directions don’t even show the actual connection of the Blitzsafe device to the radio, just what it takes to remove the center console, and slide the radio out. And, less my point is missed, even this information is ONLY pertinent to this guy’s 2005 Honda Civic.

I purchased this guide hoping to get something a little more definitive than what I could find using a web search engine. Unfortunately, the quality of the information, as described by the title, is poor and incomplete.

If you have a 2005 Honda Civic, and want some pointers on installing a Blitzsafe HON/M-Link1 DMX V.1 device, you might give this guide a go. Otherwise I suggest you pass.
