Did you ever buy a product, install it and forget about it? Well I did with this one. I mounted a Kenwood head unit in my FLHTK with no problems. If someone wanted to really improve this kit it would have to be with the face plate. It was a little glossy for a stock inner fairing but mine was custom painted so it was not an issue. I thought about flipping the textured surface inward and painting the smooth side to match but decided not too after I found it was not hard plastic but more of a pliable soft plastic (NOT rubber). If someone wanted to get creative I’m sure a thin sheet of brushed stainless would be cool! Once Mounted the deck was solid, doesn’t bounce around and tight to the fairing.
