I have a 1999 BMW 323Ci (E36) that had two completely blown and tattered midrange Harman Kardon speakers in the front doors that the dealer wanted approximately $100speaker to replace, and that was just for the speakers themselves! I would still have to install them! Suffice to say, $200 for two little cheap 2-1/2″ paper cone “HK” speaker is a joke, so I decided to find an alternative. I came across this little 2″ midrange on Parts Express, where some other 3 Series owners had found these, and for literally pennies on the dollar I decided to give them a try. I had to do a small amount of custom fitting in the BMW mounts, but it wasn’t at all difficult. The result? Awesome! These little guys are loud and clear! Even though these are 4 ohm, 2″ speakers compared to the stock 3 ohm, 2-1/2″ HK’s, I don’t think you or anyone else would hear any difference.

If you own a BMW in need of some 2-1/2 mid replacements, go with these. It is a no-brainer!

I need additional speakers by my chair to hear the TV without blasting my wife out. These speakers and a small amplifier board did the trick nicely. At the price, they are have nice voice range fidelity. The amp was only 4 watts and drives them perfectly.
